| Design: | Kewatek kemeta, bridewealth sarong, consisting of two panels sewn together. The chief motifs are the meandering patterns typical for Solor. The indigo field is typical for the cluster of villages around Tanalein. |

| Comment: | Rare example of the type, field collected by Aja Bordeville. Executed in fine hand spun with accents in trade thread. Khan Majlis notes in Woven Messages that 'A definite attribution is not always possible as there are so few examples for comparison.'In this case, fortunately it is. A few vague pale smudges not affecting overall appearance, materially in excellent condition. |
