| Design: | Patola style with truncated jilamprang-like patterns in four bands, and five narrower bands with what look like red crosses on white squares, and numerous narrow ikated stripes. The asymmetric 'Savunese-style' field division is a Roti characteristic, as is the truncating of motifs. Executed in indigo, morinda red and purple. Note the asymmetry (prescribed for this type of cloth): the left panel has three longitudinal stripes on the right, whereas the panel on the right has two stripes on the left. |
